"InterMobil" project

>> Project Activities Update....

We are moving into the second year of its successful transnational project InterMobil. The Project aims to work with Small to Medium sized Enterprises to increase knowledge and awareness of international skills exchange programmes (European Mobility Programmes) through the development of a simple training package that will enable companies offering placements to learn about intercultural differences as well as to develop management strategies to integrate the trainees into their working environment. Through this project we aim to promote the benefits of skills exchange programmes to SME’s as well as to remove barriers which effect SME companies offering short term work placements. These programmes offer both vocational students trainees an opportunity to experience work within their sector in a different country, This enables them to learn about different cultures, learn valuable language skills as well as to share best practice with UK companies.

This year we will work closely with local SME companies to gain a better understanding of their point of views and business needs, as well as to support more local companies to benefit from the engaging in European mobility programmes. We are also interested in hearing people’s views of organisations already working with skills exchange programmes and share their views with others.

For more information please folow the news feeds on our INTERMOBIL facebook and twitter or contact Gosia or Darren who will be able to answer any questions you might have.

>> Focus Groups Interviews implementation in all Partners countries.

In December 2014 - March 2014 all partners conducted focus groups as the involvement of representatives of the target groups are considered very important for the achieving of high quality project results.  Focus groups with at least 8 participants were organised in all partner countries. The aim of the focus groups was to obtain qualitative as well as quantitative information with regard to the design, structure and representation of the training material.  The criteria to invite a particular SME were the companies that have hosted a European learning mobility at least once in the last three years. This criteria was granted as they have fresh impressions and feedback to provide. The focus group interviews were also a useful opportunity to gather informations for interesting case studies based on real problems/challenges faced by the participating SMEs. Thus, their experience were used as source of learning.
