Get Skilled a real hit with Europa Training UK students

Award-winning Europa Training UK’s latest group of European work placements students had a real insight into potential careers and what their futures might hold, when they were given the opportunity to discover new talents and skills at the recent 2017 Get Skilled event.

Held at the Pavilions in Plymouth, Get Skilled is the largest skills, careers and apprenticeship event of its kind in the South West and is supported by many of the region’s biggest and best employers so the students were spoilt for choice when deciding which stands they should visit and interact with.

The event which is aimed at 14 – 19 year olds trying to decide their next steps in their career, featured invaluable advice, fun quizzes and some hands-on activities to really make them think hard about the numerous possibilities available to them when they leave school or university. The variety of industry sectors was impressive too, ranging from retail to public sector services, to the Armed Forces and building companies and many more besides.

Gosia Kuklinska, Europa Training UK’s founder and Managing Director said “The students just loved the event and couldn’t get enough of all the amazing information and help the exhibitors were providing. It really opened their eyes to all the possibilities available to them and just what they could achieve if they wanted to. It was incredible to see how excited and inspired they were.

“We work with many of Plymouth’s best employers to find our European students placements that will really make a difference to them and provide them with top quality training and experience as they begin on their career journey. I can honestly say that Get Skilled is one of the best such events we have attended and gave our students some excellent insights in to what they might chose to do in the future.”

If you are a Plymouth based company that could work with Europa Training UK to provide training in the work place to EU funded students looking to increase their skill set and employability, please contact Gosia or one of the team on 01752 764 206.
