Tamar Science Park base for Successful European Company

Gosia KuklinskaHaving completed Masters Degrees in Marketing and Management, International Marketing and Relations and European Commission Programmes for Education, Training and SME Enterprises, Gosia Kuklinska started EuroPartnership Agency Ltd in 2007.

Originally from Poland and now based in the UK at Plymouth's Tamar Science Park, she is Managing Director of what has grown into a very successful and busy company.

EuroPartnership Agency specialises in organising and managing unpaid and fully insured work experience placements for students and trainees from European Union countries.

It also organises expert exchange visits from academics and has successfully arranged trips for government organisations and medical experts.

Expanding each year, Gosia has written over 30 LLP and Government Projects and managed over 150 projects with over 780 participants. This year the company is on target to exceed last years' numbers of 400 visitors.

Gosia was short listed this year, aged 29, for Young Business Person of the Year at the Plymouth Herald Business Awards. EuroPartnership Agency also sponsored the award for Customer Care.

She said:
"I feel this involvement is a very important aspect of any business and was delighted to be able to present the award at the award ceremony."

Gosia and her team work closely with their partners from Europe to understand the requirements of the trainees and students visiting Plymouth. All aspects of a student's stay are coordinated from the office at Tamar Science Park .This includes accommodation, travel, cultural events alongside the work placement and there is always a member of staff available to assist students with any issues during their stay in Plymouth.

Participants are matched closely to local companies, ensuring both host company and trainee gain some valuable experience whilst in a work placement.

Gosia says:
"It is as important for the host company to enjoy the experience as much as the participant and by ensuring that this happens EuroPartnership have some long standing relationships with large and small organisations who look at hosting trainees and students as part of their business ."

All projects are funded by the European Commission Lifelong Learning Programme under Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus, Comenius and Grundtvig programmes recognised and supported in 33 countries. The funding covers travel, accommodation, food and medical and health insurance, so there is no cost at all to the host company.

Gosia says:
"The majority of our students speak an intermediate level of English and so can hold normal conversations, although they may be a little nervous when they first arrive and lack technical vocabulary. In our experience this phase passes very quickly and they are soon integrated and contributing to the work environment of the host company. We often find the host company learns a little of the trainees language also and sharing experiences enhances everyone's working day."

Nina Sarlaka, for Tamar Science Park, says:
"The programmes run by EuroPartnership Agency Ltd are very valuable and recognised and supported in 33 countries. We're glad that Tamar Science Park has provided the ideal base for this growing operation, and feel certain that many of the organisations already resident on the Park will be interested in the opportunities available from the company's student and professional exchange programmes."
