Terms and Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions are simple and cover the necessary elements of the relationship between us and our customers.

We have tried to keep them simple, but unfortunately certain things have to be covered in order to make sure we all understand each other.

If you have any comments or questions about these Terms and Conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. Invoicing, Payment, Late Payment and Bank Charges

  • Invoices will be presented to our customers in EURO (€) for the total programme fees.
  • Invoices will be sent four weeks before the students arrive in the UK.
  • Invoices will be sent to customers via email and an original by post.
  • Customers must pay invoices by the date agreed and detailed on the invoice.
  • Customers must pay all bank charges associated with making payments.

2. Project Cancellation

We understand that there are times when programmes need to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We hope that you understand we incur costs, and so have to pay these costs.

Therefore, our cancellation charges are as follows:

  • More than six weeks before arrival - 25% of the total programmes fees
  • Between four weeks and six weeks before arrival - 50% of the total programmes fees
  • Between two weeks and four weeks before arrival - 75% of the total programme fees Less than two weeks before arrival - 100% of the programme fees

3. Removal of Students from the Programme

It doesn't happen very often, but there are times when we have to ask a student to leave the programme. We have some rules that we ask students to respect.  If they break these rules, we may send a student back to their home country at their own cost.

We may remove a student if:

  • Professionalism - Students are expected to obey the rules of the Leonardo da Vinci Programme.  If they do not, they may be removed from the programme.
  • Working Time - Students are expected to attend their work placement in accordance with the times defined by their work placement agreement.  Students that do not attend their work placement, or are absent for more than 10% of the time without good cause may be removed from the programme.
  • Dress Code - Students are expected to dress appropriately when at their work place.  Dress code is generally smart casual, although some jobs have special requirements, which are notified to the student and partner in advance.  Students that do not respect the dress code may be removed from the programme

We will remove a student if:

  • Drugs - we have a zero tolerance to drug abuse.  Any student found to be in possession of illegal drugs will immediately be removed from the programme.
  • Discrimination - we have a zero tolerance to discrimination and abuse of all kinds.  Any student found to be acting in a way that is deemed to be discriminatory will immediately be removed from the programme.
  • Criminal Activities - we have a zero tolerance to theft and other criminal activities.  Any student found to have been involved in illegal activities will immediately be removed from the programme.

Before we make any decision to remove a student from the programme, we will discuss this with the Promoter and appropriate National Agency.

4. Accommodation and Work Placement Changes

We will always provide work placements and accommodation based on the information given to us by the student and Promoter.

It takes a lot of time and effort to make sure that we make the right decisions.  If we make changes without good reason, we will damage the relationship we have with the accommodation provider or work placement company.

Therefore, once we have placed a student in accommodation or a work placement, we will only make changes if there is a serious reason.

Any problems with accommodation or work placements will be discussed with our staff, the student and promoter, and any changes will be at the discretion of our staff.  The decision of the accommodation officer or work placement officer is final.

For everything else, we will discuss the issues with the Promoter and come to a decision about what we should do together.

Creating a brighter future, through education and training.
